party of five

Yesterday evening Josh and I went to the grocery store with the kids to get some stuff we needed to change the dressing on Asher's wound.
This is what we came home with....
...meet Forrest, our new buddy.
I must be out of my mind.
Oh, and we didn't even get home with the gauze and pads...we left them in the bag at the self-checkout...paid for and everything...which only helps to suggest that the above statement is quite possibly true.
But really now, who can say NO to this kind of magic.

Forrest looks as if he has made Asher forget all about his knee and everything he experienced concerning his accident. Forrest is a beautiful puppy. To me he looks like an Australian Shepherd. I had one when I was 5 years old. I was in love with that pup. We lived in the mountains of Pleasant Valley and during deer season some hunters mistook him for a deer and shot and killed him. I was affected for life by that happening and I have never forgotten my dog,who by the way had a terrible name..BUGGER! To this day I don't think I named him that. I think it was my ornery uncle Cal who named him that since he was the one who gave me the dog. It sounds like something Uncle Cal would choose. Anyway take good care of Forrest and let no harm come to him. I am happy for the kids. In my book all little kids should have a dog. Even Journey looks ecstatic to have a doggie.
I think Asher will heal quickly now! Love, GG

Well my first thoughts is, yeah your nuts! Followed quickley with pleasentries of how much I love my dogs and how much they mean to me. My advice would be training, youll make yourself crazy if you don't. You know I am a big fan of crate training too. Although my boys don't use the crates too often anymore they did the first 5 years of their lives. Its way easier to start now that he is a pup then trying to impliment it later. Good luck, I want to come visit, I love puppie kisses!

You are insane, and I love it! We have a big dog, and he's my two-year-old's best friend (except when he's chewing the ears off his stuffed animals). Dogs are great for kids to grow up with. Good kuck with your new buddy!!
